Crane & Bloom iOS App Privacy Policy

NPI ("we," "us," or "our") sets out below how user information is handled in the mobile applications we provide — "Crane & Bloom Study / Pomodoro / Nap Timer" and "Later, on Paper" (together, "the Apps") — in this Privacy Policy ("this Policy").
1. Information We Collect and How It Is Used
The Apps do not collect any personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or location data. There is no user registration and no account to create.
Data you enter into the Apps — note text, tags, goals, quotes, timer settings, notification times, and the like — is stored on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers. We operate no servers of our own and have no means of receiving what you enter.
2. iCloud Sync
If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, the Apps store your data in Apple's iCloud so that it carries over between devices signed in to the same Apple ID.
That data resides within your own iCloud account. We cannot view or retrieve its contents. Apple's privacy policy governs information stored in iCloud.
If you are not signed in to iCloud, no syncing takes place and your data remains only on your device. The Apps work as normal in this case.
3. Notifications
The Apps can display local notifications — notifications generated on your device — at times you set. We ask for your permission before using them. If you decline, everything else in the Apps continues to work as normal.
Notifications are created and displayed entirely on your device. They do not pass through our servers or those of any third party.
4. Analytics and Advertising
The Apps contain no analytics tools (such as Firebase or Google Analytics) and no advertising SDKs. We do not receive information about how you use the Apps.
If you have enabled "Share iPhone Analytics" in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregate data in a form that cannot identify individuals. This information is anonymized by Apple, and no individual can be identified from it.
5. Deleting Your Data
You can delete data held by the Apps in the following ways:
- Within the app: In "Later, on Paper," you can permanently delete individual notes from the History screen.
- Deleting the app: Removing an app from your device also deletes the data stored on that device.
- Data in iCloud: You can delete the Apps' data from Settings > Apple ID > iCloud on iOS.
6. Links to External Sites
The Apps contain links to external sites, including our website and Instagram. Please review the privacy policy of each site regarding its own handling of personal information.
These external services also set their own terms of use and minimum age requirements, which differ by country and region. Please review those terms before using them.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
Because we do not obtain personal information from users, we do not provide any to third parties, except where disclosure is required by law.
8. Pricing
The Apps are provided free of charge. They contain no in-app purchases and no paid features. You are never asked to complete a purchase or to enter payment information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy as necessary. Any revision takes effect when it is posted within the Apps or on our website.
